Mandy Musgrave (born September 19, 1986) is an American actress. Best known for her portrayal of Ashley Davies on the television series South of Nowhere, as well as portraying Misty Monroe in the web series Girltrash! and its musical prequel film Girltrash: All Night Long. She has also appeared on a number of shows as a guest star.
Early life[]
Musgrave was born in Orlando, Florida, and began acting at the age of 6. Originally uninterested in becoming an actress, the change came in high school when acting became her passion. She performed roles in Anything Goes and the Miracle Worker.[1]
Career[]
Musgrave soon acquired attention from casting directors and talent agencies after her arrival in Los Angeles. Within a year, she appeared on the television show CSI. Her big break came when she landed the role of Chelsea Benson on the daytime drama Days of our Lifes, appearing on the series from 2004 to 2005. In addition, Musgrave appeared on the King of Queens in 2005. Later that year, she debuted on South of Nowhere as Ashley Davies. Since portraying the character, the character has become "an icon among teenagers across America". The role "catapulted (Musgrave) to another level of fame among teenagers and young adults". In 2007 Musgrave co-starred along side Gabrielle Christian and Jordana Brewster in 'web series Girltrash!. She was also starred in Dan's Detour of Life a webseries comedy written by the producers of That '70s Show. Musgrave portrayed Jessie Ford, a 15-year-old high school student dealing with her parents' abrupt divorce. in 2010 Musgrave was cast in a guest role, on the television series 90210, she appeared in three episodes as Alexa, Gia's ex-girlfriend with whom Gia cheats on her current girlfriend at the time with.[2] Musgrave will appear in a new musical film called Girltrash: All Night Long by Angela Robinson (D.E.B.S.). The the film, which is a prequel to the "Girltrash!" webseries, Musgrave Portrays Misty Monroe the love interest to Colby Robson (Gabrielle Christian).
Personal life[]
Musgrave has two sisters (twin sister Jamie and older sister Brianna), and enjoys playing volleyball, water polo and kickball. In her spare time, Musgrave spends time with South of Nowhere co-stars Gabrielle Christian, Maeve Quinlan, and Matt Cohen to whom she married in May 2011.[3] Musgrave is a frequent runner, sings karaoke, writes her own poetry and paints collages.[1]
